Please fill out a request form with details of what is needed. Please note: There is NO DELIVERY. Everything ordered must be picked up at the arranged time. If a date is unavailable, you do have the option of getting them earlier and freezing your cookies. Payment must be made within 24 hours, if not your order will be canceled.

A long time resident of Del Ray, I started my small confections company, Culinary Endeavors in 2002. During this time I was a contract chef and recipe developer. I was no stranger to Del Ray so in 2010, I made my debut as the Del Ray Cakery at Art on the Avenue festival. I had been serving up sweet treats and cakes to my friends and family but thought it was time to share them with others. The Del Ray Cakery was born. For 10 years I created many beautiful cakes and thousands of cake pops for my clients. In 2020, I rebranded my company in a new direction creating the Del Ray Cookie Company. No longer will I be making cake or cupcakes but instead full time cookie treats!
Before cooking, I was a master teacher in Fairfax County where I taught second grade and mentored new teachers. My second love after teaching was baking and making anything with chocolate. My first aspirations where to be a chocolatier. I really loved anything that was made out of sugar and chocolate but my husband suggested that I first learn how to cook and if this was what I wanted to pursue, then I should enroll in pastry school. So in 2001, I enrolled in culinary school at L’ Academie de Cuisine to explore this new possible career. Culinary school opened up a whole new world for me. I absolutely loved it! So I continued my education a second year in pastry school. I graduated with high honors from both the culinary and pastry arts programs. After working in several area restaurants, I landed a position as Pastry Chef at The Blair House, the President’s guest house. There I created desserts, pastries, cookies and fine chocolates for presidents and heads of state for almost 4 years! My experiences there helped to create what I am doing today.
Today, my home- based, cookie boutique bakes and decorates cookies for each of my client. Still available are my cake pops, cocktail pops, cakesicles, fancy pretzels, rice krispy treats by and hand-rolled truffles from the Del Ray Cakery. These can be added to any cookie order for ANY occasion. My new endeavor is here to make sweet cookie treats for your next celebration!
How do I order? Please fill out the custom order form and Rebecca will get back to you about your request.
Do you deliver? We do not deliver, all treats must be picked up.
Do I need to make a deposit on any order? Because all orders are custom, FULL payment is collected at your order in order to hold your calendar date. There are no refunds if cancelled 1 week prior till the pickup date.
Do you offer gluten free or vegan options? Unfortunately at this time, I do not offer any gluten free or vegan cake or cookie options. If something is created, it will be offered on our insta or facebook page for purchase.
How far in advance do I need to place my order? It is recommended that you place an order 3-4 weeks in advance as the Del Ray Cookie Company can only take a certain amount of orders a week. Once the weekend is completely booked, we are not able to accommodate any more orders. Last minute orders may be available if the day has not been fully booked. There is no product available without preordering unless advertised otherwise.
Can you put Disney characters on my cookies? I am unable to put any licensed characters on a cookies.
How many dozen must I get in order to place an order?
2 dozen for any treat on sticks
2 dozen cookies
2 dozen truffles
1 dozen pretzels or rice krispies
Why do I need to fill our a request form? Filling this out will allow me to see if I have room on my calendar to fulfill your request. I will use this form to then contact you for more detail and tell you yes or no. Requests are reviewed and then a price is set. The full balance will be due in order to hold your calendar spot. If not paid within 24 hours, I will not honor your request and your order will be cancelled. I am only able to take a limited amount of orders each week so my calendar fills up quickly.
How long do cookies generally stay fresh? All cookies come individually wrapped in a heat sealed bag and can stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. If you need to save them longer then 2 weeks, place them in an air tight container and freeze. If wanting cookies to come wrapped with a bow and in a box, an extra fee is added onto your final cost.
How long do cake pops and cocktail pops last? These treats should be refrigerated until your party. If wanting to save longer, bag tightly in an air tight container and refrigerate 2-3 weeks or freeze for 1-2 months.
